  6. Locate the folders containing the desired media and picture files.

  1. Download and install Samsung Smart Switch that is compatible with your computer from http://www.samsung.com/us/support/smart-switch-support/#!/
  2. Connect the cable to a compatible USB port on your computer.
  3. Connect the other end of the cable to your mobile device.
  4. Allow your computer to install any required drivers for your device. This process may take a few minutes.
  5. Open Smart Switch on your computer, and allow it to make the connection.
  6. If necessary, follow these steps:
    1. Touch the Status bar and drag it down.
    2. Tap Connected as a media device..
    3. Select the Media device (MTP) check box.
  7. On the computer, click Open device to view files.
  8. Navigate to the desired files on your phone.
  9. Drag and drop the files into the desired computer folder.
  10. When finished, safely disconnect the phone from the computer.

From computer - Mac

    2. Tap Connected as a media device.
    3. Tap Media device to select the check box.
  7. If necessary, click the Backup tab.
  8. Next to 'Music' and 'Photo,' select the check box.
  9. To back up all of your files, select 'Select all items' check box.
  10. Click Backup.
  11. Safely disconnect the phone from the computer.

Restore apps

  1. If necessary, log into your Google and/or Samsung accounts.
  2. From the Home screen, tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to 'USER AND BACKUP,' then tap Accounts.

  12. To move files to a location other than the main phone memory:
